Why our stylists don't colour, and our colourists don't style! 12th July 2016
At David Rozman our colourists do just that while our stylists specialise in cutting hair. This makes us different from most other salons. Here we explain why this hair ethos is so important to us.
At David Rozman we're firm believers that if you want to provide your customers with the ultimate hair experience then your team should be trained to either cut or colour but not aim to do both. That's because we know they are completely different skills, requiring years and years of experience to do properly and also because new methods and techniques are always coming in. We want our stylists and colourists to be on top of their game in either colour or in cutting and our view is the only way to do that is to specialise and not try to do both. We believe it's part of the reason why our customers are so delighted with their hair when they leave the salon and the reason why they come back to us time and time again.
The only exception we make to that rule is for our junior stylists and colourists who before they specialise will be trained in both. Booking with them is slightly cheaper as a result while they are still developing their expertise. This also helps them get have a bit of time to decide which one they prefer most, before they specialise down the route that's best suited to them.
